DIWALI - Darebin City Council & Taste of India

Taste of India in partnership with the Darebin City Council proudly celebrate 'Diwali' - the Indian festival of lights.

Diwali is a a major Hindu religious festival in India honouring Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. Celebrated throughout India over the New Year according to the Vikrama calendar, it is marked by feasting, gifts, and the lighting of lamps.

Date: Sunday 2nd November 2025
Location: Preston City Hall (284 Gower Street, Preston)
Time: 10AM (followed by Lunch)
