About Us

For many years now, Taste of India Incorporated has served as a not for profit organisation, bringing together our immigrant population through arts, music and dance. A collective initiative & passionate vision of a few, saw the inception of ‘Taste of India’ in 2001 which has since been a colossal success showcasing artistic and aesthetic qualities of Indian culture.
Growing from a brief performance in a small multicultural show to a full production over the last 15 years, Taste of India' has gradually become an institution in the City of Darebin and the wider Victoria,  encompassing other ethnic groups than its name implies. Taste of India has been a prodigious evolving success since its inception in 2001, showcasing Indian culture and artistic talent in concerts. Students in Melbourne find a platform with TOI to interact & work with professionals in various capacities.

Over the years, TOI has brought in several Indian Artists to interact & perform in Melbourne. As we evolve into a new era here at TOI, our vision is to take Taste of India to new heights, continuing to foster growth unity amongst cultures through the universal language of Arts, music and dance. As an organisation, we truly understand the benefits of music and dance in one’s life and continue to aim towards giving this platform to all those around us, regardless of age, background and status.
Our committee has a vision to set out a series of different events, aimed to give back to both our participants and the wider community. We strive to blend our local talent with their adopted homeland by reinventing their roots in the context of the new culture by recognising and celebrating various festivals through our platform, while also showcasing esteemed overseas performers and young talent. Through your support and blessings, we are super excited for what we can deliver, and we look forward to taking you with us through this artistic journey of Art, Music and Dance.
